Wind - Landscape and visual impact
The visual impact of turbines is a common source of debate around wind energy developments. Windy sites most suitable for a wind farm development are often in prominent positions, such as on the brow of hills. This, combined with the scale of the turbines themselves, often leads to a relatively high visual impact. This section provides more discussion around the issues of landscape and visual impact associated with wind energy developments.
